ESI is a database of basic scientific indicators, launched in 2001 by the world-renowned academic information publishing organization, the Institute for Scientific and Technological Information (US), and it is one of the most important evaluation index tools commonly used in the world to evaluate the international academic level and influence of colleges and universities, academic institutions, and countries/regions.
At present, the discipline of mathematics is the 18th ESI global top one percent discipline in Shenzhen University, and the number of ESI highly cited papers has increased 25.61 times compared with that in September 2015, realizing the double high-speed development of quantity and quality, which marks a historic breakthrough in the construction of the influence project of the mathematics discipline in the university, the discipline echelon is basically formed, and the level of the discipline construction continues to be upgraded, and greatly improves the academic reputation of the discipline in the science and technology fields at home and abroad.
