Ms. Zhang Ailin of School of Mathematics and Statistics won the second prize of the basic course track of the National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition.

From August 18-22, the National Field Final of the Third National Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers was held at Zhejiang University under the guidance of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Chinese Society of Higher Education. As one of the 13 outstanding contestants from Guangdong Province who entered the national field final and as the only contestant from Shenzhen University who entered the final, Mr. Zhang Ailin of our college won the second prize of the national basic course track in the Third National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition.

Ms. Zhang Ailin participated in the on-campus audition of Shenzhen University in October 2022 to be qualified for the provincial competition, participated in the network evaluation of the provincial competition in March 2023 and was shortlisted for the on-site finals of the provincial competition, won the Grand Prize of the Basic Curriculum Track of the Guangdong Provincial Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition in April, participated in the network evaluation of the National Competition in June and was shortlisted for the on-site finals of the national competition, and was finally awarded the Second Prize of the Basic Curriculum Track of the National Colleges and Universities Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition in August. Finally, in August, she won the second prize of the basic course track of the National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition.

The National Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers is the only teaching competition for college teachers approved by the Ministry of Education and included in the "List of Retained Items of Three Evaluations and One Competition for Units Directly Under the Ministry of Education". The National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition is themed with "Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-class Talents"; the goal is to focus on the construction of a high-quality education system, promote the teaching reform of higher education in depth, and effectively assist the construction of "Four New", while giving full play to the demonstration and leading role of the competition, comprehensively promoting the construction of curriculum ideology, and carefully building a new teaching system for college and university teachers. The competition adopts a three-tier system of school competition, provincial competition and national competition, grouped according to the new engineering, new medical science, new agricultural science, new liberal arts, basic curriculum, the field of curriculum ideology and the grade of professional and technical positions of the participating teachers, and set up six groups, with three groups under each group, namely, senior, associate senior, intermediate and the following, for a total of 18 groups. A total of 83,224 teachers from 1,194 colleges and universities participated in the school competition, 23,088 teachers participated in the provincial competition, 1,701 teachers (including team members) were shortlisted for the national competition in 32 districts across the country, and finally 898 teachers from 239 courses were shortlisted for the on-site evaluation of the national competition. The competition sessions of both the provincial and national competitions consisted of two parts: network evaluation and on-site finals. Among them, the network evaluation is 60 points (40 points for classroom teaching video recordings, 20 points for teaching innovation results report or course ideology and politics innovation report), and the on-site competition is 40 points (including teaching design innovation report, questions and exchanges from expert judges).
