Title:Introduction to the Uncompressible NS Regularity Problem

Overview: This presentation will review research progress in the analytical aspects of the overall regularity problem for solutions of the system of non-compressible Navier-Stokes equations, focusing mainly on regularity discriminants established for the most physically meaningful solutions of all or some of the physical comprehensions, structure-based regularity enhancement, singularity classification and exclusion, singularity construction, and other results related to our efforts in the recent years.

Speaker Introduction: Lei Zhen is a professor and dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Fudan University, vice president of the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and a member of the 8th Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education. His research fields are partial differential equations in fluid dynamics and qualitative theory and application of solutions of nonlinear fluctuation equations.

He has received awards or honors such as the Second Prize of National Natural Science in 2020 (first laureate), the Scientific Exploration Award in 2022, National Outstanding Youth, Outstanding Youth Fund Recipients, Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai Science and Technology Elites in 2022, and the Mudan Award of Natural Science in Shanghai in 2014. Currently, he serves as Associate Editor of Chinese Annals of Mathematics, Editorial Board Member of CMS, DCDS and CPAA, Associate Editor of Fudan Journal (Natural Science Edition), and Executive Editor of CSIAM Newsletter and CSIAM Newsletter, internal journals of Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
