Overview: Focusing on the development history of China's "two bombs and one star" cause, it introduces the background of the development of China's nuclear weapons, its development history and the successful experience of the "two bombs and one star" cause in achieving major breakthroughs. At the same time, combined with their own experience of participating in the research of the "two bombs", tell the story of the old generation of scientists in the difficult conditions of hard work, overcome difficulties, and make outstanding contributions to the success of the "two bombs and one star" development of touching and humane deeds.

Speaker Introduction: Guo Bailing is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a renowned expert in applied and computational mathematics, and a researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics in Beijing. He has achieved a series of significant research results in the field of nonlinear science, and has published more than 700 papers in important journals at home and abroad, and has authored fifteen volumes of proceedings and more than ten books. He has won one first prize of National Natural Science Award, one third prize of National Natural Science Award, two first prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award of the National Defense Science and Industry Commission, and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Prize, and has made great contributions to China's national defense construction and talent cultivation. Academician Guo Bailing was an important participant in China's "Two Bombs and One Star" project, witnessing the whole process of the development of nuclear weapons from scratch, and making great contributions to China's national defense construction and scientific undertakings.
