The Shenzhen National Center for Applied Mathematics, Shenzhen University Sub-center was established in 2020, with Professor Wang Yuefei, Dean Emeritus of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Shenzhen University as the Director, Professor Xu Chen as the Director of the Academic Committee, and Professor Lu Jian, Vice Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, as the Executive Vice Director. The main purpose of the sub-center is to tackle the common key technical problems related to mathematical applications in the major needs of industrial innovation and enterprise development in China and Shenzhen, and to focus on the core direction of modeling and computation in network information system, intelligent communication, and modeling and computation in precision medical applications to carry out research on mathematical theory and mathematical applications. The sub-center is now hosting three key projects of the National Foundation of China, two key R&D program topics of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and six surface projects of the Foundation of China. The sites are located on the fourth floor of Huiwen Building, the fourth and seventh floors of Huixing Building.
